ABOUT RUCKPACK
After Noots! Nutrition LLC was born, we looked at what our overall goals were and compared to them to the direction we were taking to become established. Distinct conflicting issues faced us as we looked at how we were going to fund our venture while providing the type of role-model our veterans deserve while trying to learn fiscal responsibility. In short, how could we mentor and assist vets in personal financial planning and debt management while taking on an extremely large amount of debt ourselves in order to start our business? The only acceptable answer was that we couldn't. From that point, it became our mission to bootstrap Noots! Nutrition LLC as much as possible and start small in order to lead by example. Our hope and drive is to accomplish that goal in order to mutually benefit all those involved.
With this as our guide, it became our mission to decide which direction to take in order to minimize start-up costs. Eventually, we all agreed to start with just a single product that would achieve the greatest benefit to the most service members at the lowest cost with the highest potential for profit. Easy, right? Research on the nutrition market was conducted in order to determine what products would have the greatest chance of success. In the end, we boiled down to either starting with a multivitamin in some form, or a diet supplement. While we were sure any diet supplement on the market would most likely meet with a degree of success, those of us that have done multiple deployments thought of the possible outcome of taking diet products in that environment and decided that wasn't the direction we wanted to take just yet. More importantly, we concluded, if we could design our own multivitamin that met the needs we had specifically, not only did we stand to gain profit but we would feel better knowing we were actually helping those who still serve. Our vets know from experience what was lacking in the available food and Meals, Ready-To-Eat (MREs). Ruck Pack was our answer.
The ingredients were discussed between Marine Officers, Reconnaissance Team Leaders, Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsmen, other Naval Medical personnel, Army Special Forces personnel, Navy SEALs, and other enablers. This gave us a broad perspective of missions ranging from analytical reporting demanding long hours, to reconnaissance missions demanding long durations of focus and energy on a lack of nutrients, to high intensity direct action missions requiring peak energy levels. Our goal was to achieve a single serving packet that can be kept on a desk, in a tent, or stuffed in a ruck sack on the way out to a mission. These packets needed to be developed to release slowly into the body (requiring tablet form) to last at least half the day, while having half the upper limit recommended for adults to meet the common 12 hours on, 12 hours off schedule many of our warfighters endure on a regular basis. With the ginseng added for energy, we wanted to provide all the immune system and healthy function capability without keeping our service members awake during their crucial rest time. We also wanted to stay away from caffeine. Our service members need an energy and health option that isn't going to cause a crash when it wears off. Besides, there are as many caffeine drinks in our wartime theaters as there is water. We wanted to avoid joining that club. Our energy comes not only from ginseng but the healthy dose of B-Vitamins. It's natural energy that won't make you crash. When teamed up with our other ingredients for immune system, positive mental health, and healthy brain function, we feel you'll be performing at your peak when you need to: every single day.
Ruckpack believes in giving back to those who serve. To date we have given 1,500 Ruckpacks to those forward deployed in support of our nations freedom. Just a small way to say thanks! Want to get involved and donate Ruckpack to the troops. Let us know!
